Greenville Fence & Deck Staining is a service of Superior Stain Solutions, a locally owned, fully insured company based in Duncan, SC. We don’t try to be everything — we specialize in staining fences and decks, so the work we do for you is done by people who do it every day.

Meet the team

Superior Stain Solutions started in 2017, when Adrian stained his own fence in Duncan and the neighbors started knocking. Since then the crew has stained thousands of feet of fence and plenty of decks across Greenville and Spartanburg counties — including over 5,000 linear feet for HOAs, developers, and commercial clients.

Adrian worked for a local fence and deck building company in the Greenville–Spartanburg area before founding Superior Stain Solutions. He started the business to build real relationships in the community — most of our work still comes from referrals and repeat customers.

Preston Jones

Project Manager

Preston has been around brushes and finishes since 2006, learning the trade alongside his father before working remodeling and fence installation across the Upstate. He manages projects day-to-day and is usually your point of contact on site.

Checking fence wood moisture content with a meter before staining — We check moisture before we stain — new pressure-treated wood has to be dry enough to absorb stain, so we measure instead of guessing.

What makes us different

Most failed stain jobs come down to two things: the wrong product and skipped (or unnecessary) prep. We get both right.

The right product. We recommend penetrating oil-based stains that soak into the wood instead of forming a film — so they won’t peel or chip, and they age gracefully. Water-based options are available when a specific color calls for it.
Prep matched to your wood. New wood often just needs a light clean; weathered or peeling wood gets a proper wash, brighten, or sand. You only pay for the prep your wood actually needs.
Both sides, every detail. Fences are stained on both sides as standard; decks include railings, stairs, and lattice.
Clear, tiered pricing. Priced by the foot, with rates that get better on larger projects — and a written, line-by-line quote before we start. Financing is available through Wisetack.
Weather-smart & clean. Stain needs dry conditions to cure, so we reschedule free for rain, protect your siding and landscaping, and leave the site spotless.
